Sage will soon be releasing Sage 50 Cloud v29. As usual, the software will be rolled out gradually to their subscription clients so you should be prompted when the software is available for you to download and install ...
If you encounter any problems with your Sage updates then we can help!
I suggest you let us download and try the software first then we can review any new features and spot any problems with the update before you install it yourself. Also, if you are on a multi-user system with Sage installed and networked on multiple machines then do not say yes to the update until everyone connected to your Sage is ready to update at the same time as you.
"Once one person updates the software then no one else can access the data until they update too!"
If you use an IT Service Provider to manage your systems and do your software updates, primarily if your data is held on a server and users are linked to the shared data, then the update needs to be done in a methodical and organised way. It is best done when you don't have a lot of bookkeeping to do or a VAT return due.
As ever, if you encounter any problems with your Sage updates then we here at Silicon Bullet with Paul's IT expertise and Alison's bookkeeping prowess are perfectly placed to help you get the software up and running with minimal fuss.
We can often act as a buffer between Sage and your IT support to get everything working well.
Until next time ...
ALISON MEAD
