When you connect Xero accounts to NEST for the first time, you must enter your NEST credentials, which include employer ID, username and password. The connection method with NEST changes on the 15th of February 2023, so get it updated soon to avoid your pension filings from failing.
How to update your NEST connection to Xero Payroll:
Visit Workplace Pensions within the Xero Payroll settings and select the 'Update pension provider' link on the banner
Enter the NEST account username and password, then authorise Xero to connect to NEST
Put your feet up as we'll handle the connection for you. This should take no longer than 30 minutes
Once the connection has been successfully established we'll email you. You can also visit the Workplace Pension settings to review the status
