Completing An EC Sales List For Periods Before Brexit

You may still need to complete one ...

United Kingdom businesses will not need to submit an EC Sales List from the 1st February 2020 as the UK will have left the European Union ...

You still need to complete an EC Sales List for any sales prior to when the UK left the European Union!

However, they will need to complete an EC Sales List for periods before we left, so if you haven't prepared one to the end of January 2020, you're VAT registered, and you've supplied goods or services to EU VAT registered customers, get that done as soon as you can.

"Only include details of sales made to EU VAT registered customers!"

As we left the European Union at 11pm on 31st January 2020, submit a monthly EC Sales List showing sales up until that date and time. If you normally submit it quarterly, and the next one is due by 31st March 2020, again, only include sales made up until 11pm on 31st January.

If you submit a simplified annual EC Sales List, then you should be contacted separately, but remember, a late submission may incur a penalty.

Until next time ...
