4Networking HQ called me a few weeks ago and asked if we wanted to run any networking meetings over the Christmas period ...

Come and join me on the 23rd at 4Networking!

Now as it's my birthday on 23rd December and we were due to run a networking meeting at The Potterspury House Restaurant that day (it's called Towcester Lunch on the system ... long story!) I quite liked the idea of running a meeting that day.

"Marlin, the owner of the venue, was happy to oblige, and we are now the only meeting running in the whole of the network during Christmas!"

Now you may think I am mad wanting to go business networking on my birthday, but that depends on what business networking means to you. For me, it is a place I go to meet other like-minded business owners, or entrepreneurs, although I'm not really comfortable with that title. I'm just someone with a great deal of skill and experience which has been able to build a successful business around it, and sometimes running your own business can be a lonely task.

By going networking, I get to meet and really get to know other business owners in a similar situation to me. I pick up excellent business advice from the talks we have at the meetings. I really get to know people and some have become really great friends outside of the networking meetings too. I have a group of contacts who really understand me and what I do, and so, as a result, I get referrals to people who need my services I wouldn't normally have a way of reaching.

"So why would I not want to arrange a meeting on my birthday to meet my business friends and see the year out with a party?"

At the time of publication, we have 30 people booked into our meeting, which is today at midday at The Potterspury House Restaurant. You can click here and find where your nearest meetings are.

If you are a business owner struggling on your own, or just looking to start out, then why not take a look in the new year and visit your local 4Networking meeting and you too can find your tribe to help and support you in business.

Merry Christmas! But not until after I've had a happy birthday!

Until next time ...
