What Is Sage Business Cloud?

And who's it for?

If you are a new user coming to Sage accounting software for the first time then the entry-level product for small businesses is now Sage Business Cloud ...

I used to recommend Sage 50 Accounts Essentials, which is still used by many of my clients, but Sage discontinued this product for new users quite a while ago and new users are now forced to use the Sage Business Cloud product unless they have business needs that warrant using Sage 50cloud Accounts at a starting price from £65 per month.

I still support and recommend Sage 50cloud in many cases, it's a great product if you need stock control and order management for your business, but it is overkill for many small businesses.

"So, Sage Business Cloud might be the product you want to look at!"

There are always special offers to trial the product so don't expect to pay the full price from day one, but make sure your budget allows for the full cost in the long run as discounts are always temporary.

If you are used to Sage 50cloud then a lot will seem familiar in the Business Cloud software, such as the nominal codes and terminology used, but under the covers, it is a totally different product. In all honesty, it has taken a bit of getting used to, but now I have been running one of my clients' businesses on it I feel confident to be able to support clients in using the product now.

And just to prove my competence, I finally took the Sage Business Cloud Certified Expert v2020 accreditation this week and, of course, passed otherwise I wouldn't be writing this blog post!

So, if you are a bookkeeper or a business owner feeling confused by your Sage Business Cloud software and would like some help, then please do get in touch for one of my handholding sessions.

Until next time ...
