Sage has released the latest version of Sage 50cloud accounts, but as usual, I recommend clients not rush to download the new version unless you really need the features included. Let us download and install it first and see if there are any problems ...
Sage 50cloud v28 has been released, but don't rush to download it!
There doesn't seem to be a huge number of operational changes in how you will enter your data into Sage 50cloud. It pretty much does all you need anyway, but they have been working on the help centre, dashboard data displays, cloud access and check data parts.
What about Remote Data Access?
Previously when you used remote data access you had to have the main site and then remote sites which could access the data. Sage has now removed this distinction between sites and simplified it so you can now perform any tasks previously reserved for the main site at any remote site too.
Online services like bank feeds, DDs and invoice payments can be set up from whichever site is most convenient to you. Also, they have made it easier to replace computers without causing unnecessary disruption to other users. (Click here for more from Sage)
How has Check Data changed?
You can now automate the check data task to run periodically through the day and not just overnight, as previously you would check if you ran automatic backups. It should mean if you do have a problem with your data you can spot and rectify it in a more timely way. (Click here for more from Sage)
What's the new Business Dashboard?
There is a new business dashboard feature that shows you your key business data at a glance. You can use the Sage created dashboards to get started and also create your own bespoke dashboard to show the metrics and data that matter to your business. (Click here for more from Sage)
If you wish to download and install Sage 50cloud v28 then you can access the Sage help with their walkthrough here. But if you would like support in making sure you upgrade your systems correctly then get in touch with Paul here at Silicon Bullet who can take you through the process step by step.
Until next time ...
