Sage 50 Accounts Version 32, Numbers and data flow, Balance sheets align

Sage 50 Accounts Version 32 has officially launched, and it's packed with features that promise to transform the way users interact with their accounting data. This latest update not only refines existing functionalities, but also introduces innovative enhancements focused on AI-driven reporting, document management, and banking compliance.

What users can expect from this significant upgrade?

One of the standout features of Sage 50 Accounts Version 32 is the marked improvement in Sage Copilot, the AI assistant integrated into Sage 50cloud. With this release, users will now benefit from a natural-language query interface that allows for the generation of common reports such as profit and loss statements and aged debtors reports using intuitive conversational commands.

Additionally, these key financial reports now include automatic summaries and important data highlights, making it easier for users to interpret and share insights. The user interface also sees enhancements regarding responsiveness and onboarding processes, aimed at improving the first-time user experience.

The update also extends the document attachment support across various data entry forms, a crucial feature for enhancing record-keeping practices. With Sage 50 Accounts Version 32, documents can now be attached to supplier invoices, credit notes, journal entries, and even new bank receipts and payments.

This upgrade not only streamlines compliance and audit workflows, but also ensures that attachments remain accessible through Remote Data Access (RDA), facilitating flexibility for remote teams.

In the realm of purchase automation, improvements include advanced AI-powered invoice recognition, which enhances the accuracy of scanning and extracting information from supplier invoices. The newly refined document capture system is compatible with a wider array of invoice layouts, further reducing the need for manual data entry, especially in high-volume purchasing scenarios.

Sage 50 Accounts Version 32 is designed with
future banking compliance in mind!

It now includes updated SEPA (Single Euro Payments Area) XML plugins that generate ISO 20022-compliant files, essential for meeting the EU-mandated format changes set to take effect in November 2025. This version enables users to configure additional field support, such as town and city details in the relevant address sections, ensuring that all electronic payments align with regulatory requirements.

Remote Data Access capabilities have also received notable enhancements. Users can expect better logging and synchronisation behaviours for companies shared through the cloud. The software continues to support Sage ID authentication. It includes two-factor authentication for added security, alongside improved error handling during connection interruptions, bolstering overall stability in remote and multi-user environments.

Another area to celebrate with this release is the overall software architecture and installation process. Sage 50 Accounts Version 32 is available in both 32-bit and 64-bit versions, with an updated installer designed for improved reliability. Future updates will adopt a more streamlined process to reduce installation time, a boon for administrators.

Prior to upgrading, users are advised to conduct a full
data backup and utilise the Sage Data Check tool to
identify potential errors!

It is also recommended to temporarily disable antivirus and firewall software during installation to avoid any conflicts. Additionally, ensure that all users are logged out during the process for a seamless upgrade experience.

Sage 50 Accounts Version 32 marks a pivotal enhancement in accounting functionality, catering to the needs of modern users. With its innovative features and upgrades, this version stands to significantly improve productivity and compliance in accounting practices.

Users are encouraged to explore these new features to fully leverage the capabilities of Sage 50 Accounts Version 32.

Until next time ...
