I have always been a sporadic blogger for Silicon Bullet, but it's a habit I have drifted away from recently. This is going to change with the help of Steffi and sblog.com ...

I'm Alison Mead from Silicon Bullet and this is our brand new blog!

I shall be sharing my expertise and knowledge about bookkeeping, Sage, Xero and Networking each week and I'll also get Paul involved to talk all things IT and technology.

"Who are Silicon Bullet?"

We're a husband and wife team, made up of me, Alison Mead, and my other half Paul. We met at University too many years ago to mention at Aston University.

We both went on to learn our trades, Paul through working for an IT company and myself through a chartered accountants firm, before moving to Northamptonshire in 1999 and setting up Silicon Bullet.

We have been helping our clients for almost 20 years now, Paul to keep their IT and therefore their business running smoothly, and for me, I have been teaching people how to be better bookkeepers.

We've developed a great niche in helping clients with Sage 50 software to use the features fully including supplying add-on products which make the software more functional.

When everyone is telling them Sage won't do the job, we can help them prove otherwise, as well as offer all the usual help and support you expect from an IT company.

I'm very pleased to say that once a client uses our services, they generally stick with us for many years. Our longest service client started working with us almost 19 years ago, and we pride ourselves on doing a great job in a friendly and informative way.

I am a Regional Leader for 4Networking in the Northants and Bucks area, so I'll also share tips on getting the most out of your networking. While Paul stays mostly at his desk remotely supporting our clients, I like to be the sociable type, getting out and about to client sites and networking all around the area with 4N.

"Would you like to know more?"

If you'd like to find out more about Silicon Bullet and the services we offer then do give me a call on 01604 420057 or click here to ping me an email and let's see how I can help you.

Until next time ...

She specialises in a very unique hand-holding method of training, helping bookkeepers and business owners to use their accounts software as and when they need support in setting up and producing their invoices, reports and financial information.

Alison combines her role at Silicon Bullet with running two network marketing businesses and is also a Regional Leader for 4Networking as she likes to keep busy.

You know what they say, if you want something done well ask a busy person!
