From Monday 9th November 2026, businesses using certain Sage products will see changes in how they access customer support. These changes affect customers using Sage for Small Business, Sage Accounting and Sage Payroll, with telephone support replaced by a new approach focused on help within the software itself ...

Sage support changes make having your own Sage expert more important than ever for reliable, tailored help

Sage support changes make having your own Sage expert more important than ever for reliable, tailored help"

Under these new Sage support rules, affected customers can no longer call Sage directly through the existing telephone support arrangements. Instead, anyone needing help with their software, subscription, or technical issues will need to start with the Help function within their Sage product.

Sage says this approach is designed to make
support more accessible!

Using this new process, Sage is offering digital assistance 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Depending on the nature of the enquiry, customers may receive step-by-step instructions, access chat support or be directed towards a Sage support expert for more complicated issues.

These changes apply only to the three products mentioned above. Customers using Sage 50 or other Sage products will continue to access support through their existing arrangements.

Support for accountants also remains unchanged, and they will retain their existing channels, including dedicated telephone support.

For small business owners, however, the changes highlight the value of having an experienced Sage specialist available when something goes wrong. Although online help and digital assistants can be useful, they aren't always a substitute for speaking with someone who understands both the software and how your business uses it.

This is where working with an independent Sage expert
like me can make a real difference!

Instead of spending time navigating support options or searching for answers, you can turn to a Sage expert who can explain things clearly, help resolve problems, and provide practical advice tailored to your circumstances.

Having ongoing access to knowledgeable support can also help prevent problems before they develop. From setting up processes correctly to understanding new features and maintaining accurate records, expert assistance offers benefits beyond occasional troubleshooting.

If your business relies on Sage for day-to-day financial administration, now is a good time to review how you access support and consider whether additional assistance would help.

The Sage support changes in 2026 don't mean help is disappearing, but they do change how some customers obtain it. Having a trusted Sage expert like me available when you need advice could make managing your accounts considerably easier.

Until next time ...
