Xero has announced the evolution from Xero Cashbook to the new and improved Xero Simple. This transition, set to take place on the 14th of April, is designed to offer users enhanced features without any additional cost ...
- Invoicing and Quotes: Users can now create and send up to 10 professional invoices and quotes per month, streamlining the payment process and keeping cash flow humming along.
- Data Capture with Hubdoc: Gone are the days of shoeboxes filled with receipts. With Hubdoc integration, capturing and organising receipts becomes effortless, reducing manual data entry and potential errors.
- MTD for Income Tax Readiness: With the Making Tax Digital (MTD) initiative on the horizon for 2026, Xero Simple has users covered. The platform is equipped to handle quarterly updates and final declarations, with a beta version available from April 2025, subject to registration and eligibility.
One of the standout changes with Xero Simple is the enhanced client access. Those with the cashbook client or managed client user roles will transition to the standard (and reports) user role, allowing for a more hands-on approach to their financial data.
Advisers will maintain their existing roles, ensuring continuity and familiarity. From the 14th of April, accountants and bookkeepers will have the flexibility to adjust client access as needed, tailoring the experience to each client's unique requirements.
For those already using the non-VAT Xero Cashbook, the migration to Xero Simple will be as smooth as a well-reconciled bank statement. The transition requires no action from users, and they can immediately start enjoying the new features upon migration.
By introducing enhanced features and greater accessibility, Xero Simple aims to simplify financial management and prepare users for future tax digitalization initiatives.
Xero Simple makes accounting not just simple, but simply delightful.
