Alison's Top 5 Blog Posts Of 2021

It's been a great year at Silicon Bullet HQ, but it hasn't been without its challenges. I've blogged every week this year so I thought I'd put together a list of my Top 5 most popular blog posts of 2021 ...

In first place, I was very surprised when this blog about a Sage software update became so popular. It's called Sage 50 Software Update Available (27.2) For MOSS, OSS And IOS and people on Twitter seemed to like it a lot as I had over 3,000 clicks

"Who'd have thought that VAT reporting for EU transactions was so interesting?"

The next most popular blog post of 2021 was about Keeping your Sage Tidy. It's something we all have to do so it's always worth having a declutter from time to time. People on Twitter loved it, but we also had a lot of visitors coming in from Google searches too.

Then we had a lot of interest in my blog post called Xero Price Increase From September 2021. I'm impressed with Xero and how they're always investing in their platform, and a lot of people from Google seemed to be interested in what I'd written.

Penultimately ... and I'm very pleased about this ... there was a lot of interest in my bookkeeping handholding service. Bookkeeping can be a very lonely pastime and it's very easy to get bogged down with something if you have no one to reach out to for help. I'm always here for other bookkeepers, and so I'm very pleased this blog post got so much interest.

And finally for 2021, the fifth most popular blog post of the year was about the new payroll year. It was called New Payroll Year Starts On The 6th Of April 2021 and gave readers some useful information on what to do to prepare for it.

I've enjoyed blogging this year and will continue to do so in 2022 as well. I'll be back at the same time next year to highlight which of those blog posts are the most popular!

In the meantime, may I wish all my readers, my clients and all my business friends a very Merry Christmas 2021. Here's looking forward to a happy New Year for us all.
